Building support for Live Music and Cultural Events in our community….

In 2019, the Songwriters and Storytellers Society was born out of a need to fundraise, married with a strong desire to foster Live Music in our community. We found a stage, and the music was calling. Every community has them, empty buildings that need some love, and a bit of reno-vision!

The Society team brings together musicians, contractors, event planners and passionate volunteers. They have worked hard to find the funding needed to renovate the stage, build a green room and launch our Concert Series.

We are building a new brand of venue, from start to finish, it’s a little bit different. Our Concert Series strives to host the very best Maritime/Canadian artists, presented in a comfortable listening atmosphere. We are passionate about creating an exclusive experience for patrons and artists. In this intimate setting you’ll find out the stories behind the songs, hear every note and lyric ring. You can sing along and dance if there’s room!

Arts and Culture groups struggle to find a stage for rehearsal and performance that meets their needs. By reinvesting our profits into the venue, we hope to fill that need in our community.

The Society is a non-profit organization whose mandate is to create and manage a Venue for Live Music performance and rehearsal. The end game is simple: make the facility economically self supporting, so it is a viable space for the community to use for their own projects and events.
